I replaced the backup battery with a DL2032 (Duracell brand battery) and when I start it up it does the normal language selection, but then it displays the year 3000 something and the time has like some dots instead of actual numbers. When I set the date, it acts like its about to boot up, then doesn't, and restarts the whole process over again. WTF is going on here? I took the battery out and it starts up just like it did with the dead battery. Is the Saturn such a picky bastard that it MUST HAVE a CR (Panasonic) battery? This sucks, now it looks like I HAVE to buy a RAM cart after all if I want to save my games (which is a must to get through NiGHTS, right?). How many games, besides RPGs, require game saving to complete them? I don't mind using level cheats/passwords if I have to and I really don't care about high scores either.

I used a crappy no-name battery and it worked just fine.
Maybe your Saturn came from the future to present Brail gaming to a poor blind child.

I'm about to try it again, but to be honest, I'm kinda scared for my Saturn!
edit: what do ya know? it works fine now. I guess I expelled the future brail-reading ghost. Or maybe my Saturn is a time machine, better go grab the Delorean just to be sure...
