My Saturn is suffering from a distinctly weird condition. Previously if played for to long, my saturn just dies and the green light simply blinks and makes a slight click noice. until its been left for a while, The key point being it doesn't run. Now that's all it does and won't even run for short period. Ive tried tweaking the laser eye potentiometer and that 't help. Any advise will be appriciated! Im at a house party and we want to player drunken house of the dead with light guns...

Does the green light look dim? Your Saturn more than likely has a dying power board

Yeah your right, some experimental pushing of the power board discovered that if you push in the point just above the main board power pin socket I can temporarily fix the problem. Admittedly this only works if I keep my finger pushed down on it. Does this give you any clue as to whats wrong cause its stumping me. All the soldered connections seem fine and pushing on components on the power board doesn't help...

Ah ok...
Sounds like the power board isnt contacting the pins properly, this is usually fixable.
Remove the power board carefully, then bend the connecors on the board carefully, re-insert the board and see if the problem is solved...

Got this problem myself now with my Saturn and I just aren't technically skilled to repair it lol. Works for 5 minutes before it packs in.
I'm going to buy another replacement Saturn but I wouldn't mind seeing if I can get this one fixed. Anyone know anyone who does Saturn repairs in the UK?

I just bought a mode 1 Saturn and I’m having the same issues. The power light blinks and makes a clicking noise. I’ve removed and reinstalled it but it still clicks. Any solutions?
