Why is this game so hard to get!! I only own the Playstation 1 version. Many people think the Saturn version is better...is that true?
Can i get this game in Pal or NTSC ?

No, the saturn version of Symphony was released only in japan. Also the saturn version looks a little rough around the edges compared to the psome version but it does contain a load of extra features & modes not in the playstation version.

Yes, very expensive. You got to have deep pockets to get the more desirible saturn imports such as street fighter zero 3, radiant silver gun and metal slug.

Not really. Easily had for 6,000yen or so. But it seems like everything is double to triple price in PAL land for some reason.

Get your Saturn switched with a speed and country switch. That way you can play any game u want at NTSC speed and get rid of those awful boarders many pal games have. Alternatively buy the action replay version 2.2 i think it is. It acts as a country converter, 4mb ram cart, memory storage znd cheat library all at once. I also own one of these for my other saturn and so far I've had no problems.

In the USA, it was released twice, very common. In Japan it had 3 releases and is even cheaper.

How much in USD would the Saturn version cost in Japan? I know on Ebay the going price is around $70. I wish we had the type of pawn shops in the US that I have heard of in Japan.

Today I was out in Osaka. The electronics super-store Sofmap had one mint with spine for only 3,000yen. That's about $32 USD these days. And anything Sofmap carries can be had for cheaper with time.

PAL SOTN on the PS1 is expensive because of the bonus items. The version I have has a second disc with soundtracks from different Castlevania games and it also comes with a bonus artwork booklet. A very nice item to have.
I hear the Saturn version has some slowdown? Disappointing if that is true. I hear the Saturn version also has an extra character to play with.
The PAL PS1 version has huge borders which is a pity - even larger than the usual.

The PAL PS1 version has huge borders which is a pity - even larger than the usual. It's a poor port. Basically the PS1 version isn't a true 2D game, it's flat 3D. Instead of remaking it from the ground up in true 2D for Saturn, they just ported the fake 2D engine over and that caused some problems. They also screwed up a lot of the transparencies and lighting and instead of properly increasing the resolution, they just stretched everything so it looks funky. It's still a great game, but the PS1 version is prettier and runs better, but Saturn has more bonuses.
