I was reading about Sonic Jam on Wikipedia as I was curious to see if there were any other hidden extras and saw this.
"...Also one version featured Moving Clouds in Sonic 1, and slightly faster music. This version feels better to play, but it is unknown as to what it was on."
I was wondering if this version is pretty rare or costs more than the regular versions, as my copy of the game has faster music and moving clouds.

I'm pretty sure they all featured moving clouds as this was based off of the Japanese MegaDrive version of the game which did have moving clouds over the US Genesis and EU MegaDrive release. As for faster music, my guess is it's a person comparing PAL to NTSC.

Pretty sure they are MegaDrive, but again this is wikipedia, probably someone from PAL land played Sonic Jam at 50Hz, then saw the NTSC version and proclaimed it to be a special different version.

Yeah, there's probably nothing to it. I have the PAL version myself and the music is as fast as the NTSC music in that comparison video, but I can't really tell if the game actually plays faster. The opening animation on the title screen is faster though.

I don't have the North US version of Sonic Jam, have tested one of my PAL copies and one JAP copy as well as my Brazilian Tec-Toy version, all feature moving clouds on the sonic 1 title.
