I know in the US it was released in a few different ways. One it came in a cardboard sleeve, another it came in a standard jewel case, and another was in the usual tall box jewel case that most US Saturn games came in though I have yet to see this one. In the US if you had your Saturn registered you received the game free of charge as an apology for the poor port that came with the Saturn originally.

Big Box edition with the CG portriat collection, this was the first version you could buy in shops, I only know that because I brought it myself, it is becoming quite rare to find with a good condition box now. This was bundled with Saturn consoles. Normal retail release.

Never saw a US retail release copy of Virtua Fighter Remix, personally. The copy I have was the one mailed to me by Sega, which only came in a cardboard sleeve.
