I have a huge amount of Saturn games which are great to play for the fun side of things. But not many Saturn games have taken me on an emotional roller coaster where you are right there with the characters feeling their pain, sad when their sad, happy when their happy. Enemy Zero & Panzer Dragoon Saga are two brilliant examples of what I would refer to as 'The Green Mile' of video games. This to me is what true gaming is all about. Games that will leave you talking about them decades later. Does anyone know of any other Saturn games that left a scar of such magnitude? And if so, how did the game affect you?

I can't really think of too many Sega Saturn games that hit me like that emotionally. The only game I can think of on any console was Shenmue. I just got so involved in the characters, the story and the environments, and even the less important characters. I was just sucked in to a whole other world and have never had another gaming experience quite like that.

few games really keep effecting me after I turn them off, even fewer on the Saturn. But if I had to choose one it would be House of the Dead. How could such a hideous port be approved by Sega, sure it plays fine but it looks like utter dog shit! I was a huuuge fan of the arcade game so the home port scars me deeply, I hope Sega it ashamed of it because I'm ashamed of Sega.

Well, Resident Evil left me quite impressed. It still keeps me in tension the full length of the game and just fell for the story.
Atlantis really left me scarred for life, I felt all the emotions the main character felt and had pretty intense moments
Can´t think of any other Saturn games that hit me to that level.
Of all my gaming history however, seeing the Pelican of Echo419 bursting in flames and falling to the ground when she was about to pick you up has to be the most intense and also the saddest moment(along with Sniper´s wolf death in MGS but... I´m getting off topic here...)

I can't say ive had that experiance from a Saturn game :S I guess thats the wrong thing to say on a Saturn fan site, but oh well :/ Athough... whilst playing Maximo and the Army of whatever for PS2, I got so angry I nearly smashed it and my PS2 to pieces. Punching things because it was annoying me has definitely scarred me for life physically and emotionally.

Ahh yes Resident Evil was also quite breathtaking. Which reminds me, so was Deep Fear. That scene when Mokey died in the sub-marine left me feeling extremely sad even though he was annoying. I was sad for him.

i would have to say Panzer Dragoon Zwei.. it was my second game I ever bought as I loved it on the Sega flash vol 1 demo disc... (daytona being the first) the story and the growth of the dragoon was just amazing for a little 15 year old impressionable kid.. still when u chuck this game on today u can see it was leagues ahead of its time.. especially with the story telling.
