I've just discovered this game om youtube and it looks amazing. I did a bit of researching too and find it had high reviews from game mags. Has anyone played this game? And if so what's it like?
Thanks

It's fantastic turn based stategy, very much like the PC classic Historyline 1914-18. I also have all it's Japanese counterparts.

It certainly looks like a great game, but I can't play it myself. Just too slow, a single battle takes hours. It appeals to a very hardcore kind of crowd, and I'm not it. When I want turn based strategy, I stick to Langrisser myself. Satoshi Urushihara hotties are more my style.

Fantastic game. It plays like Axis and Allies or Risk with more unit types and they are upgradeable by leveling up similar to RPGs. If you like those boardgames you'll like this. The animations were great for their time but can become tedious quickly so I turn them off after I've seen them all at least once for nostalgia sake. It does have other limitations such as the only sides being playable in campaign mode are the U.S., Japan, and Germany. For my money, this is the BEST game on the Saturn. I've spent more hours on this game than any other on any system by far.
