What are the benefits of changing your navigator? On level 2 I picked up an item which turned out to be a new navigator girl with pink hair. And since I don't read Japanese I was not sure what she was offering. Does she offer any special advantages over your starting navigator with brown hair?

Each Navigator has their own special abilities. Some give you stronger shields, better aiming, etc. Note that each Navigator has an experience/love level. They max at Level 3, and then their abilities are strongest. Each Navigator has a different ending too, but you will only see it if they are at level 3. So do see them all you have to play through the game many times. Lira (Stage 2 pop-star) is probably the worst of them all. While Kina is easily the best. Though that's all I will say. Experimenting with the Navis is one of the high points of the game. Here's my age old FAQ: www.gamefaqs.com/console/saturn/file/574065/43038Oh my avatar here is Meticul, my favorite Navi in the game

WOW! Thanks superdeadite. That will be a HUGE help to me. Such a great game. By the way, you mentioned in my other post that it wasn't possible to save your progress on Bulk Slash but I've managed to save mine with no problem. Each time I start the game I pick up from the level I left off. So do you have a different version to the one that I have then?

Huh? The game lets you play Stages 1-3 in any order. You can then play Stages 4-6 in any order. Stage 7 must be played last. But everytime you turn on the Saturn you will have to complete all Stages to reach the end.

I'm only on stage 3 so that figures. So your saying that when I move on to stage 4, if I switch off the game and come back to it, I'll have to do stage 1, 2 and 3 again before I get to stage 4? Wow, that's a shock to the system. Well, I guess there is some relief knowing that stages 1 and 2 aren't really that long so it should be a breeze to get back to stage 4 so I suppose its not really a problem. Thanks for the info. Shame though

Yeah that's what your experiencing. You have to complete the game on one play. You can pick the order mainly for the Navis. If you want to use the Stage 6 Navi, it's better to play Stage 6 before 4 and 5, so she can build up her experience.
All the levels are quite short, you can get to the boss in about 3 mins or less when you know what your doing. And you really need to move fast if you want to score high and unlock all the gallery pictures.
