I have a saturn and i wandered if there s a way to make burned games work without swap trick.... . You know i also have a Dreamcast but there I didn t need the trick... i just burn the images and play beautifully... so i can clearly say:
THE BURNED GAMES WORK AS NORMAL GAMES ON DREAMCAT!
... but still dunno about Saturn ones....
plz let me know

It's either swap trick or buy and install a mod chip, there is no other way.
Saturn games have a copy protection ring on every CD which cannot be reproduced on a CDR.

You can yes, but those are only one step removed from the swap trick.
Mod chips are the way to go.

Know what?
If you are on about the boot CD you have to buy one from eBay or somewhere first.
