Hiya, I've just bought some battery's for my Sega Saturn's, as both of mine were bought with dead batteries. Just curious, I know that it saves the time/date, but I have also heard that there is a small amount left over for game saves. How much is this? I guess it isn't much. Thanks guys.

hi, it's true that the battery is needed to save games to the internal memory but dont worry it lasts ages. My last one kept going for almost 2 years before I needed to change it

The battery can live a long time if you leave your Saturn plugged in all the time. From my experience, unplugged it will only last about 6 months. Plugged in with normal play time is about 2 years. If you play it everyday? I've gotten 5+ years out of some batteries.
