Im sorry since this is an incredibly nooby question. Ive just picked up my first Saturn from Ebay, though it hasent arrived yet, and the auction, and picture, was for 2 consoles (I only want one but I put in a bid hoping for the best) with cables/games etc. I also seperately bought S-Video cables to connect to my normal TV rather than the tiny CRT I keep for my N64. On the assumption that both consoles work, and I hope so, then that means that all I need is another power cable and I can give my console away to a friend if they want it. But first I need to know what kind of cables they use, in the UK. Id like to order them now so that I can give them it faster (though I want it to be a suprise but I dont know what cables to get. So I ask you, who I assume know more than me lol, is it specifical Saturn (or Sega) cables I need to buy or can I use generic A/V cables like the Playstations and Original Xbox? Thanks in advance, Pazy.

Firstly, keep the 2nd Saturn, there's always a fair chance you will need it I'm afraid. The Saturn's power cable is a standard 'figure of 8' power cable. If you're planning on hooking up to an LCD TV then bare in mind light guns will not work on them, so no virtua cop or house of the dead for you The Saturn's AV cable is generic and Saturn specific, if you're in the UK you really need to be hooking the Saturn up with an RGB SCART lead not an S-Video lead, RGB SCART will provide you with the best possible video quality.

How much better is the jump? I choose to get S-Video over RGB since Ive got nothing else to hook up to the S-Video slot (and a thousand things in the Scart) but if its only slightly better I like the idea of having it permanently hooked up versus my current setup which means I have to manually swap the scart's everytime I want to play anything that isnt a PS3/360 game.

Pazy, I've got a multi scart adaptor and plug about 4 consoles into that, then into the scart socket on the TV. You can pick them up easily from the likes of B&Q, Comet, eBay, just about anywhere in fact!

Ive got one but currently is has a PS2, Xbox, Wii and VCR in it when its only a 3 slot model (which means if I want to watch a video which is fairly often I still manually switch) and the only I dont have other consoles/hardware in it is because im too lazy too switch lol

The difference between RGB and S-Video is massive, time to get off that ass and swap dem cables me thinks.
