Hello, I'm having a spot of trouble with my Mk1 Japanese Saturn (grey with blue oval buttons) it's switched for multi region and 50/60Hz. It boots up and I can play fine for about 10-15 minutes. Then I just get a black screen (usually when it should be loading something) the Access light will keep flashing indefinitely. Switching it off and on doesn't work either I have to leave it for a while before I can get anything out of it. Is this the end? Is it repairable?

Possibly another case of the power board being on it's way out and overheating, as yes theres no real fix for this apart from getting another power board, which has to come from another Saturn

I wonder if it would be possible to make your own replacement power supply. If the parts are all off the shelf components it should be doable and would prevent having to destroy a Saturn to save another.

Oh dang. Could I use a power board from a PAL Saturn? I see there's a few spares and repairs Saturns on ebay.
