Hello all! I was going through all my creepy/survival-horror video games lately, and was struck with a memory of a game from my youth that I could not remember the name of to save my life! I'm 98% certain it was a Sega Saturn game, so I thought who better to ask than a group of Sega Saturn fans? I never really had Sega systems, but back in the day when you could still rent consoles here, my family and I would usually rent the new systems when they came out. I was only little, but I remember that my mom grabbed a game she thought looked like my dad would enjoy off the shelf. It was an "old west"-themed kinda-scary/horror-ish point-and-click adventure. As a horror fan and having seen some scenes from it at such a young age, it always kinda stuck with me. Maybe because it was scary or maybe because it was intriguing to me The only scene I can clearly recall from back then is that, when staying at the inn, you had to 'use' a chair in the room to prop under the doorknob before going to bed, and if you didn't you would get a cutscene of bi-pedal wolves (maybe werewolves?) coming in the room and you got killed/game over'd. I'm really really hoping to find the name of this game... I don't even know if it's a GOOD game really, it's just one of those 'lifelong' mysteries I need to solve, so I'm hoping you avid Sega Saturn players might have seen the game in passing and could point me in the right direction. ^^ Thanks a bunch!

Never heard of that one, and I tend to play the weird stuff most people dislike... Probably not a Saturn game. Sounds cool though.

Sounds like something I used to watch my brother play in DOS when I was a little kid.
Alone in the Dark?

Hrm... No, it wasn't Alone in the Dark... It had a first person viewpoint, in the style of the Myst games. It definitely wasn't a PC game (we didn't have one back then), and I know it wasn't on Dreamcast because I would definitely have been old enough to remember it better.

Thank you, but no, it wasn't Torico/Lunacy.. that does look like a similar themed game, but the game I remember is not quite so Japanese-looking honestly..

...reading that I also though Alone in the Dark... I know how frustrating this kind of thing is... Ive been having the same problem trying to work out what a movie I saw was when I was a kid.... Ive asked on movie forums and everyone thinks I dreamt it up :/ if my mother didnt remember it then I would think I had dreamt it up

This may sound like a silly question but are you 100% sure it was a SATURN game?

In all the time playing sega saturn I have never come across that game you have described.
It must have been on another console
