hi all i have a question about my saturn. its a american model 2 and anytime i start it up it will go into the cd menu then read the disk and give me an option to start application this happens with all my games. every thing works its just annoying to have to go through that process is there a way to have it just boot directly to the game. by the way these are all original game copies not cd-r. any help would be apperciated.

Sounds like your Saturn is struggling to read the disc at boot-up, this could be caused by dirty/damaged discs, a dirty lens, or your laser bias may need adjusting. I would start off with thoroughly cleaning your discs and then cleaning your lens in the Saturn. If that doesn't work I can post details of how to open your Saturn and adjust the laser bias

A Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol will do.
Just dip one end into some rubbing alcohol (not too much) and VERY gently just brush the soft part of the Q-Tip against the laser. Don't press any further or the stick holding the two ends COULD scratch the laser.
Then, turn the Q-Tip over to the dry side and wipe by gently brushing to dry it.
This method has fixed numerous lasers of mine. Hopefully it'll get your system running right too. Though I've never heard of a dirty lens being associated with the system instantly going into the BIOS before.
Have you tried turning the system on with no game in the tray?

so today i blew on the laser more like breathed on it, turned the game on and it booted right up to the game yay. however i then turned the game off and tried again no luck right to the cd menu. so i tried to clean it with the qtip and alcohol but its still just going to the cd menu. like i said i can then choose to play the game but its just annoying. any further thoughts?

Sounds like it's struggling to read the boot flag when you turn it on initially, looks like you need to notch your laser bias up a tad.
