So recently, I finally got all my Sega Saturn equipment (fresh battery, Action Replay, imports), and it was working fine for a while (I absolutely adore Cotton 2). I've run into a new issue though. It's been about 2 months or so, and the Saturn is already erasing my save data. It's keeping the time and date details this time, just deleting the save-game files. I've been led to believe that the batteries last for up to a year, so I can't imagine that it's dying on me already. Also, sometimes when I start up a game, it gives a warning about a RAM issue (don't know exactly what it is, since it's in Japanese), which usually happens when my save data gets erased. Can someone help me with this issue?
(Sorry if there's already a thread on this. I did search before posting.)

Where did you buy your new battery from?
I got a few of a local market a while back that were out of date and only lasted a few weeks.

Sorry about the really late reply: Forgot I made the thread. Yea, I'm hopeless.
Anyway, I just picked it up at the local supermarket. It seems to be saving fine now, though.
