Hey guys, sweet board here! I'm Xranger60 from over at saturnleague.com. I've got sort of an odd problem. On one of my saturns (and only one), whenever I can hear disk activity (loading, etc.), the picture has some "blips" for a second (only during loading). Not sure what's causing it. Disk drive seems to be working fine, and when there's no disc activity, no image problems. I've tried the same AV cable with my other saturn, everything is ok there.
I also have another question, if you guys don't mind. For anybody who has looked at or adjusted their Saturn's laser POT, what position was it in originally? I know I adjusted mine years ago, but don't know where it started. I've been decreasing the POT, and everything works fine, so is it possible to damage the laser by having it set too low?
Thanks for everything guys!

Hi there xranger, welcome to the forums Your flickering issue during loading sounds like interference from the power board while dealing with the heavier load required by the laser. If you are able to, swap out the power board with another Saturn and see if the problem continues.

Wow, that was a quick response, thanks! Ok, so the power board idea definitely sounds feasible. I'll try getting my hands on another power board. As for the POT, I've resigned myself that there are things in life I shouldn't stress about, and whether I've adjusted the POT too low or too high is ok, since I'll err on having it on the low side.

I get this with my Model 2 Saturn. I've owned about 3 which do it.
I did own a model 1 Saturn which didn't have this problem though. Kinda odd eh?
Still it's not exactly a big deal so I don't even pay attention/notice it anymore.
