hi, i have a boxed Saturn model 2 that when i originally bought it, it just refused to load some games, but played others fine (making me think i had broken games...). however, last year i bought a model 1 boxed along with virtua cop 1 & 2, both boxed, for £18 and i like the model 1 (which is fully working now) more so i use that. however, i now need to sell my model 2 and i plugged it in to see what the situation was and it was reading barely any games, so i cleaned the lens with a damp cotton bud, but it hasn't helped.
i would really like to fix this, as it is boxed and seems a shame to just bin, so if anyone knows of a way that i can fix this - preferably without replacing the laser, but i will if necessary - then it would be greatly appreciated.

Adjust the laser intensity potmeter. It should be a little orange plastic screw on the laser unit, there are youtube videos of this if you don't know what you are doing.
Some cd boards also have additional potmeters on the board, that control how many re-reads should be done if (part of) the disc cannot be read, how fast the motor should spin, and stuff like that. (is there any definite data on which potmeter does what, by the way?)
