There's a blue switch on the motherboard that manually resets the memory, try disassembling the machine and see if there is anything that could short circuit that switch, causing it to be permanently turned on. After actually finally being daring enough to open the system up, I had a look, and couldn't find anything. Everything appears to be fine. Is there anything in particular I should of been looking for around the switch? (I've been saving all my game saves on to my Action Replay, but it's still a pain putting up with the Time and Date stuff every time I start the Saturn up)

Did at any point you save Fighters Megamix to the Action Replay then transfer the save back into the internal memory?
If so take your Action replay out, delete your save file from the internal memory and try again!
^ Without a save file, Fighters Megamix is a game which has been known to occasionally produce corrupt save files which can cause mal-function when used with an Action Replay...

Id be interested to hear how you get on with this, I have a third saturn with similar issues, and I'd love to get it working again.
