I saw this game on Play Asia, and so far I've been pretty impressed with the Sakura Taisen series (played the original, and Columns). However, I've been looking all over the place, and haven't been able to find anything out about it. Does anyone here know anything about this game?

It's basically a "fan data disk." This one pretends to be a Radio Show. Meaning you basically just listein to the girls talk about random stuff like a real pop idol does on an interview show. Of course it's recorded, and never changes here For insane fans only, and pointless if you can't understand japanese.

I've been using a translation guide for the first game, so I won't bother getting this one (unless I end up trying to complete the series on the Saturn). Are any of the other Sakura Taisen games (other than Sakura Taisen 2) worth getting? I was wondering if any other games in the series were spin-off games that don't require knowledge of the Japanese language, like Sakura Taisen Columns.

ST1,ST1 remake, 2,3,4,5ep0,5,Mysterious Paris are the real games. Then there's Columns and Columns 2. Other then that, the GBColor game is fun to mess with, and the DS game is a silly dungeon maze. The rest are all fan/data disks that tell you how big Iris's boobies are...

Is the DS game similar to Mystery Dungeon, and other Roguelikes? If so, I might actually look into it, considering I'm one of the few people that actually loves dungeon crawlers

yes, but it's a very very easy game. About as casual as you can get really.

For now, Sakura Taisen 2 and So Long, My Love are the only ones on my wishlist. Thanks for all the help though! Sakura Taisen seems to be a very difficult game series to find information about (With the exception of So Long, My Love), but considering it was only in Japan, it's kind of expectable. I can only hope that some day it'll get much more deserved attention!

ST3 is my favorite. Highly recommended. 5 Episode 0 is a very fun pure action game too. I had a lot more fun with it then the real ST5.
