will i think i may of kill my saturn , i opened it up to see about moving the pins closer on my card slot. to see if my AR cart was not dead. and now the saturn boots up but it will not read the disc, help can it be fixed.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like you've maybe knocked the laser out of synch a bit. Maybe open it back up again and try reseating the laser assembly?

Had something similar today while opening mine... check if your ribbon cable is still in the "z" position that it should be in...

Open it up, detach all the cables from the laser assembly, carefully lift it up then lower it back into place making sure it's a snug fit (no rattling about).
Now reconnect all the cables firmly but not too hard, fire it up and give it a try.
Theres also a possibility you've touched the lens with your hand or clothing, in which case you need to clean it with a cotton bud and some alcohol.

Sad to hear check all cabels. Also try to cleaning the lens. If still no resault then sell it to me.
