Sorry for making a thread with my first post. I just dug my Saturn out of the attic after years of storage and it works fine, but it's not rendering 3D textures properly. A lot of the menus are fine in some games but when it comes to 3D in game, it just looks like a mess. I've looked all over the place and haven't found another instance of this problem. Anyone have any idea what the issue is, and if it can be fixed easily? Here is an example video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=32s7QFgKvSAThank you.

It looks like a problem with one of the VDPs and unfortunately I doubt there'll we be an easy fix. You probably have to reflow the surface mount VDPs if you can, although it's probably easy to buy a new machine.

VDP1 problem, probably either the chip, the framebuffer memory, or something inbetween. If you open up the motherboard, inspect IC10 to 13, their connections, and their general vicinity. A problem may be immediately visible (blow resistor or cap), but if not, you either have to reflow the chips like pulstar said, or just buy a new machine.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'm just gonna buy a new one.
