Hello to all of you Saturn fans I have been meaning to join a Saturn based forum for ages now and from what i have heard this one is one of the best! Any woo i should introduce myself here and share a little history into how i came across this very underrated machine. Way back in 1996 i remember coming home from primary school and my older brother Peter had a Saturn that he borrowed from work *He used to work for Sega at there Chiswick HQ* plugged into the living room TV playing exhumed. Being a Mega drive owner i fell in love as soon as i picked the pad up. As time went on and consoles became stronger and stronger, I seem to always keep the Saturn plugged in as i felt that even today has some really good games. As of now the collection me and my dad have started stands at around 85 games, including the special edition Christmas nights and some of the Saturn's more rarer games. I hope to find other people who are also big Saturn fans and discuss old retro game shops that happen to sell Saturn games *As game station went and stop stocking and selling old games*. Also hoping to discuss about some of the Saturn tech and how to fix it as i currently have 4 non working Saturn's and 2 broken guns. Anyway i have gone on long enough lol, i hope to spend alot of time on here and try to be a good forum user Thanks for listening!

Hey dude, awesome to see another Londoner! I envy your brother working for Sega! they still have a London HQ in Brentford, would love to go down there if they let members of the public tour, maybe score some freebies haha. Either way very warm welcome to the saturn forum!

Thanks ^^ Haha at the time most of my friends were envious as well, it was pretty cool they had to lay him off after they stopped making consoles and started on software only produces. I do remember seeing there HQ when i went past Brentford, in fact its not even that far from there old HQ, suppose it was for more office space or something. I think they do let some people have a tour of the place but i doubt they will let you have any freebies Also nice to see a Londoner in here! Hopefully i can pester you to show me some retro game stores lol

Hi Nate, I live about an hour away from London but would be willing to travel to visit a top class retro gaming shop. Sadly, CEX is not what it once was and a lot of places which were excellent (I remember seeing an incredible amount of import stuff) have closed down.

CEX have gone to shit over the last few years, but their staff have never been very helpful either

Hey winston Most of the CEX in west london are pretty god awful, i recall ages ago the one in houslow was a big out place packed full of retro goodies Then for some reson they decided to not only sell the retro half of the building to a fast food shop *Which in itself was pretty naff" but also started to sell fake Megadrive and Gameboy games.

Prabmire- How good is GameFocus? never heard of it but if it's retro in the style of Cex (when it was good) and that place that used to be in Notting Hill (can't recall the name but I got a working C64 for £3 there) then I am interested. Is it (in your view)worth a visit? Welcome to the forum Nate, you have joined-- in my humble opinion one of the finest retro forums in the business-enjoy!

That was a pretty cool introduction to the Saturn, nate. But then again I always enjoy Sega Saturn stories.
Well, welcome to Sega Saturn Forums.
