very nice that you made it work! it looks like the chinch and composite cable is plugged to the battery cap...why is that?! 300-400$ I cant believe...There are international sellers on eBay who ship worldwide for about 50,-$ plus 50,-$ for the Saturn itself...So it should be possible to get a Saturn for about 100,-$... I would ship to Argentina and also mod the console to get more out of it. If you provide the connections we can make a business In the batery cover are the RCA and S-Video connectors. Yes i´ve seen the prices on ebay, but depends how you send the package. Last month i bought an IC for a RGB to NTSC conversor for mi MVS proyect and spend 9 dollars o the IC and 65 for the shipping and taxes. The shop sended to me via UPS Express, and here the taxes are 50% of the value for electronics . I iddnt know . The best way is national mail and lie about the content of the package , but not everybody use it or do it.

Did you mount the RCA and S-Video connectors by yourself to the battery cap and soldered it to the mainboard or was it delivered that way? I don't know of a saturn delivered with such configuration I just looked how much shipping from Germany (via DHL) to Argentina would cost and for a package of the size of a Saturn it would be 45,-EUR or 65,-$... 50% taxes are really crazy but when the value of the Saturn is declared as 20-30$ then it would not be that much. So if I shipped a Saturn to you we would still be around 150,-$... The only problem is that I don't know what voltage you use in Argentina. In Germany we have 220V and maybe you'll need a converter. Also PAL consoles that I could get cheaply use 50HZ. But as I said I could mod them to change video an region settings.

When I buy it the cap where missing, so I cut a piece of plastic, make de holes, mounted it, and soldered it. Modding the original case could be risky, the plastic is too fragile for cutting an filing it. I did not want to mess up the case We have too 220v and the region is NTSC. All the consoles in the market here are American or Japanese so the 110v converter is not a problem for us

yeah really well done Might be useful to plug cinch directly to the Saturn. So maybe PAL consoles would be better for you because you don't need a converter?

I did the mod just becouse the A/V cable is almost impossible to find anywere here, like any other accesory. I´ve seen USED controllers like 35 US dollars each . You missundestand me, we do use converters but just to 220v to 110v. For region issues we do prefer NTCS because the most part of the games in the market (all used of corse ) are american or japanese versions. Historically it was always so, since the atari 2600 in the 80´s to today with the PS3 we import (unnoficially of corse ) american and to a lesser extent japanese consoles. Same thing with games, find an original game for any console is not an easy task. Since the arrival of the famicom in the early 90´s the chinese cheap pirate stuff just took over the market and nobody want to buy original games because the low prices. Whitout any laws preotecting the copiright, the original games and everything just dissapear, this happened with every console since like EVER .

I understood you right that you use 220V. Because of that i meant that PAL consoles would be better for you because no conversion to 110V would be necessary. It is interesting and sad that you can't get console stuff for good prices. But it's odd that there is no official distribution for new consoles?

There is official distribution but in a really small scale. Think about this...the official price for the PS3 here is like U$s720 and the price of the unnofficial resellers who illegaly dont pay any import taxes is U$s570...so what will you do? Sooner or later the official parthner just stops importing it because of the losses and the official market is over...

Well if you need anything else foly let me know, shipping items as 'old computer parts' or 'obscolete electrical equipment' (which are both accurate in the Saturn's case) usually gets around anything like that

should have said foly, I'd have sent you an AV cable too! It´s ok mik, would have been too much ask for a av cord, a game, a controller, etc. I like free sfuff but i do not like to take advantage of kind people. I´m very happy with what you sent me! . Maybe in short time i ask you for more stuff and contribute with more donations or just paying it to you! ;D
