Hi everyone, I came into possession of a Sega Saturn with damaged jumpers (in every region combination I can find =/)which powers on to the BIOS but has no region set from what I can tell.
It also rejects the Action Replay cart as being unsuitable for the system =/
I think I know what the answer will be but does anyone have any ideas as to what if anything can be done to bring it back to life? =(

Lift pins 5-6-7-8 on the SMPC and hook them up directly to +5vdc according to which region you want the console to run. (pin5 only is japanese, pin7 only is usa, pin7+8 is europe)
FYI, it doesn't boot anything because if all the pins are pulled low, the machine is set to regioncode 0, which doesn't have any regions set to it. The valid regions are 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12 and 13 - the PAR boots on all of those.
