I figured here would be a good site to ask this, so anyway...
I have a Sega Saturn model 2, with a "VA SG" motherboard (I'm assuming as it says "IC BD SATURN MAIN VA SG" and mod sites list "V#'s"), and I wanted to add a 50hz/60hz switch onto it. I can't seem to find a single guide or post about this type of motherboard, so I can't figure out where I'm supposed to wire. Any advice is welcome.

If it's a PAL model, you need to wire the middle two pins on the 4 pin connector near the battery, if those two are connected the machine switches to 60hz, otherwise its on 50hz.
For every other model, look on the underside for the jumpers labeled JP1 and JP2. If JP1 is connected, the machine is in 60hz, otherwise its on 50hz.

Are you saying that if I wanted to make a switch for it, I just wire a switch to JP1 and JP2? Is JP2 = 50hz, or none connencted = 50hz? Do I need to wire anything else such as a 5v line or ground or something? And which kind of switch is recommended? Thanks.

If JP1 jumper is closed: the 50/60 selector gets +5v and switches to NTSC mode. If JP2 jumper is closed: the 50/60 selector gets GND and switches to PAL mode. If both jumpers are closed, you short out the board. If neither jumpers are closed, the 50/60 selector is grounded internally and so it switches to PAL mode.
So basically you make sure that JP1 is not connected, (cut a trace or desolder the connector), and then install a on/off switch on the two points of JP1.
