Does anybody have any images of the sprites for the ships in this game by any chance? I'm looking for the sprites for all the ships stages (i.e when it banks left and right). Cheers Have you checked spriters resource? That's all I can offer, except that you grab a Sega Saturn emulator like SSF and remove the background layer(s) and do it yourself. Forget about the Playstation version, as the resolution is lower in both Tate and regular screen mode from what I checked (the mistake on my end that I can think of is if I screwed up with a graphic setting like resolution in the Playstation version... but I always use Playstation native resolution for both my PS1 and PS2 emulators... though I should try this comparison in the other PSX emulator called pSX V1.13, or newer if it's out, and see if the ePSXe emulator fucks something up? You never know?). Or better yet see if there is an arcade emulator with background removal option? Guess I should mention I finally figured out what that problem Yart was talking about in the Sega Saturn versions regular screen mode. It was a dead give aways when I read Segaga mention the problem. The Sega Saturn version does not seem to optimize the screen resolution for at least the background for regular screen mode. What it does instead is take the higher resolution tate mode and squeeze it in the regular smaller screen space. And that's why you get this out of sync vertical line going down the regular screen setup in Sega Saturn Dodonpachi. It's something I never seen, and still haven't for this game, because the Sega Saturn emulator has a vertical sync adjustment option in case the game image doesn't match your desktop resolution or something (something I have to turn on for every emulator I use or I get this problem). Another problem this causes is that in regular Saturn version screen mode, the backgrounds look a bit hazy on my higher resolution desktop monitor from up close. Like a desert sun effect almost... not sure if this shows up, or as obvious, on older TV? (Fun fact; higher to lower resolution planes/sprites is one way the Saturn can create transparencies. Similar to how dithered Genesis graphics always looks transparent on an older TV) So if anybody wants to scan the backgrounds of this game, and only got the PS or Saturn to choose from, use Saturn tate mode.

DoDonPachi sprites are no good anyway as I have just realised that the maximum player ship can only be 32x32 pixels and DDP sprites are 40+ Oh well, going to have to create my own now lol.
