On the off-chance that anybody on here has ever played with this, does anybody know if there is a way to use a grid larger than 32*32 pixels for the players ship? (DoDonPachi ship sprites are approx 50*50 pixel sprites) I cannot see that there is a way, and it's probably just a limitation of the software, but it's quite hard creating a nice looking ship with such a small grid, and doesn;t really make sense as you can theoretically have enemy ships any size you want by linking? Could be due to built-in hit detection the more I think about it, but worth asking incase anybody has any ideas/ answers

I have messed about with this but in no great detail. I doubt very much that you could get around this limitation as I guess its pretty central to how the engine works. You might be able to have player 1 and player 2 ships stuck together? I can't remember if this title supports 2 player simultaneous modes....
There's a pretty good guide for this on gamefaqs if I remember right and there's a pretty big community who are into swapping saves using homebrew software on modded consoles - might be worth finding out if there's a community to register with..

I used to play around with this a lot. At one time I knew what every button did.
No. You cannot configure max sprite size or even the hitbox. I tried to make a full bullet hell before but the hit box proved to be troublesome at times.
