I got this NTSC Model 1 Sega Saturn off of ebay and it has a few issues. It powers on and stays on, but the Access light is flashing constantly, I get no video or sound at all (doesn't boot at all), and the discs spin up and and slow down like it's trying to read them. The voltages all looked fine on the Power board unit so I have no idea what is causing all of this. Tried different RF cables and power cables and it still doesn't work. What in the world...

I assume most people here live in the UK. Shipping will cost a lot more. I'm going to see if I can somehow revive this thing first before I think about selling it.

Only times I've ever had pulsing power light it's been the powerboard, that's based on at least ten experiences of my own, of course that's not to say it isn't something else I've not previously encountered.

Yea. My power board in my recently deceased Saturn does this with the light too. (Where the power board cracked)

Hmmm. Where would I buy a power board for the model 1 NTSC Sega Saturn?

You wont, unless you find someone with a good 2nd hand one or another Saturn you can strip one from.

As long as the PSU has the same voltage pinout inside, it should work fine regardless of 50hz/60hz/110v/220v/whatever.
Model 1 and early Model 2 systems used gnd, gnd, 3.3v, 5v, 9v. later Model 2 NTSC systems used gnd, gnd, 5v, 5v, while later Model 2 PAL systems used gnd, gnd, 5v, 5v, 9v. The 9v line in these were only for the pin on the a/v line, that was needed for Scart auto switching.
Also, the earliest VA0 model 1 machines had a different layout where the PSU was hanged up on the top part of the case. Fitting that would be problematic on a later case. The pinout is the same as other model 1 psus though - I'm actually using one in later Saturns, since it doesn't cover the internals and makes it easier to do live testing.
