It's a game that's very much in demand, and it does contain the definitive version of Street Fighter 2. £150 is probably fair value for it as things stand. And the definitive version of Alpha 2. But what is the definitive Alpha game in everyone's opinion here, 2 or 3? Opinions will always vary on this but for me it's Alpha 3/Zero 3. There's just too much variety, additional modes of play and greater value for money for it to ever be considered inferior to Alpha 2. As a serious fighting fan technician, Alpha 3 hits the spot everytime whereas Alpha 2 comes up short. But for the non technical gamer I can understand the appeal of Alpha 2 as its less intimidating than Alpha 3. My biggest annoyace with Alpha 1 & 2 is that it got rid of some of the more memorable and versatile characters like Fei-Long, Cammy, Dee Jay, Guile, Balrog, Vega, E Honda, Blanka, T-Hawk etc and replaced them with clones & weaker ones such as Rose, Charlie, Gen, Sakura, Sodom, Dan e.t.c I found myself less inclined to use anyone other than Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li. Zero 3 corrects this bringing back the former characters to mix with the newer characters of Alpha 2 and some new more interesting ones from Alpha 3 and it gave gamers greater incentives to master alternative characters they may have not used before which Alpha 2 failed to do. I also feel characters are more balanced in the Alpha 3 series. Alpha 2 is better than Alpha 1 but by enjoyment standards its the least interesting of the Saturn trilogy.

I prefer 2, it just feels easier to play and more enjoyable. 3 does have a lot more content and characters though. It's a close call.

I've not played the Saturn version of Zero 3 - only the Dreamcast version, which was disappointing due to the lack of balance and incorrect hit boxes. It does have a lot of extra characters (plenty I love) and modes, though. Unless the Saturn port is something spectacular that irons out these issues, Alpha 2 is the definite version. Alpha 1 feels dated in comparison.

Even Magic Knight Rayearth has gotten ridiculous in recent times. Couple of years ago I got it for little over £100. Now it regularly goes for £300+ You PAL Saturn guys have it easy. Most of our US versions already skyrocketed years ago and go for triple the PAL versions. Sure they all run better in 60hz but it has to do 99% with the more rabid demand for US copies here.

Some people may think putting their money into commodities like gold are ways of guarding against the further drop in value of the pound.
But Saturn games are where it's at.
