Not sure if theres a thread for intro's, but howdy! A Saturn fan from Sheffield here! Post regularly on Sega 16 and have been meaning to join Saturn.co.uk for a long while. Love talking about Sega history and having geeky tech discussions of teh fabled innards of the Saturn! Had to sell off my JPN collection recently due to a spell of unemployment and bills to pay. Crap economy! But I'm looking forward to starting all over now I've finally got some work! Peace!

Got a couple of grand for the lot (not considering eBay/PP fees ) just to keep afloat really. It's not all bad... I plan to eventually invest in a SuperEverDrive sometime in the future, so that'll help salve the loss. Welcome to SS:UK! I'm sure you'll love being here as much as we do

But thanks fellas! Yeah, what a bummer! I made one collector very happy though with my JPN booty, so I got to spread some Saturn love around, it wasn't a massive lot neither as I'd only just got round to collecting last year. Got to pay some debt off first, which is going to take some will power! Then I'll start over. Hopefully be a bit more of a completist, get console and peripheral boxes etc.

Was that boxed SNES stuff as well? Man if it was that must have been hard, quality boxed SNES titles are rarer than Rocking horse shit! YES. IT WAS INDEED... I'd been collecting my SNES stuff since I was in my mid-teens (15-16 to be precise). DILUTED-BACKSTORY... there is still an indoor market in the town of where I live. However, once upon a time, there USED to be a games stall there. I used to chat to the guy who owned it, became friendly with him, and eventually, started helping out serving (etc) at weekends. he used to pay in my preferred currency: games! Not only that, but at this point I owned an N64 (after swapping it for my PSX). I had become bored with it and decided - as it was current gen/valuable - to trade it in against 'last gen' stuff i.e. a SNES and games. This behaviour was considered VERY backward at the time, but I yearned for some 2D action! I traded it in with around 10 games and walked away with a SNES and around 30+ boxed titles. I think, back then... PPL thought I'd gone nuts (like trading your 360 in in 2008 for a Xbox1, for example). Of course, the balance has now shifted since the dawn of eBay etc, and retro is now rather valuable. Anyway, working at that stall I constantly acquired boxed SNES titles and eventually, ended up with a fairly good collection. So, in short, all those games I sold, I had owned for nearly 15 years. In that time, the mint boxed Ninja Warriors I bought years ago for £8, sold for £270+ on eBay last year! Not bad going, huh? And that was just one of the games. NOT all were worth a fortune, but I was surprised by some. I don't regret it. I spent 15+ years enjoying those games, and after careful consideration, decided I was able to let them go. I did keep a loose SNES with StarWing (my fave SNES game), UN Squadron & Super SWIV though... just in case EDIT: just found a photo I took in 2011 for someone interested in buying them all in bulk. It never came to light, however, the photo remained: ALSO... I feel the final sale values were actually closer to £1500... not £2k. I had 4-5 titles which near enough made £1k off their own back (Megaman7, Ninja Warriors, Final Fight 2, Final Fight 3 and Super Turrican 2... FYI )

Amazing collection NeoGeoNinja! I often get jealous not just of collections the seemingly lucky and pure chance way people get stuff so cheap and in good nick! SidneyI'm pretty sure Sumo rose from the ashes of Gremlin, there office is not too far from MeadowHell. Not a fan of the footy to be honest, I've got members on both sides of the United/Wednesday divide though! Station To Station is my fave Bowie album!

Station to Station is a fantastic record, good choice, very much an album that stylishly bridged the gap between his American era and German era. If pushed-- over all his many great albums-- I would go with Hunky Dory, but to be honest you can't go wrong with pretty much anything he put out in the 1970's.
I have very fond memories of Gremlin Graphics (so many great 80's/90's games) and I have to say Sumo are a worthy successor with those quality Out Run games!
