SEGA Saturn Issues - Overheating... or??!

SO, HERE'S A THREAD...
not only would I prefer not to have to post for advice in, but also, never thought I'd have to post in.
Just lately, my Saturn has developed an issue (don't they all?)
If I play on my Saturn for a good 2-3 hours (same game even!), it works fine. However, when I go to change the game, and load it up, the next game will just 'hang' at the SEGA loading screen:
When I take the disc out, and try different games, even from different regions, it makes no difference... it just hangs. I seem to have to power off and leave it for a while, then later, it will work again. Not ideal, as I tend to Saturn game for hours sometimes - continuously.
never had this problem in the past
I DO HAVE A QUESTION THOUGH...
I'd like to ask ANYONE who has any knowledge in this area, as I have my suspicions (for years now), as paranoid as they sound... is there any difference in the quality of the discs used for PAL releases, or indeed the quality of the pressing process vs overseas?
Pffff... I only ask as my SAT has only started playing up since my decision to recently embrace PAL titles on the machine. I've had plenty of PAL consoles die before now (for PAL gaming only) and... the same goes for my DC too. My PAL DC;s have always failed at some point, but JP console is still going strong BUT I have never run PAL pressed and manufactured titles on it.
I'm curious if there's an truth in this, and whether PAL territory pressed/manufactured titles are of a lesser quality, thus putting more strain on the laser/hardware?
(p.s. I never run CDR's on any of my hardware. Cheers!)
