I recently bought Street Fighter Alpha 2, and when I put it in my saturn, it recognizes it as a music CD. The thing is, it only happens with this game, the others work fine. I cleaned the disc with windex and had no luck. Is there a way to fix this problem? EDIT: I actually got it to work once, but it didn't work after that.

Pop the CD in your PC and boot it with the SSF emulator to check that the disc is ok, could even be a poorly mastered disc, it's rare but I've had it before.
What sort of condition is the disc in?

Slightly scratched. It looks like it's in good condition. And how does an SSF emulator work? I've never heard of it.

Its a sega saturn emulator for the PC.
Chances are if it's scratched you have a tired laser that reads your other discs ok but struggles with this one.

Is there a way to remove the scratches so it will play?
Also, the seller said this game played perfectly, so I'm not sure what the exact problem is.

Well the seller would say that...
You can try having the disc resurfaced (polished) somewhere that has a professional machine.
That *might* get it to read the disc.

I got it to work AGAIN, but it doesn't work now. Does toothpaste help with anything? I see tutorials for cleaning discs with it online.

Not greatly, go get it resurfaced.

Does resurfacing help play the disc? Or will it ruin it?
Also, other games on my saturn are scratched, but play perfectly. So it can't be the laser.

No, obviously I'm telling you to do something that will ruin your disc As long as you dont have it done twenty times it'll be fine.

Resurfacing is far safer than any home remedy you see online or on youtube. Also hold the disc up to the light and make sure there's no surface damage with light shining through.

Head to blockbusters or eb or wherever, pay the couple of dollars and get it resurfaced Prab

There can't be surface damage, I just got the game to play now (doubt it'll keep working, though).

Worth resurfacing anyway dude, hold itup to the light and check the scratches, your saturns laser may be slightly out of alignment aswell

All of my other games work though. Even my scratched up NiGHTS disc works! And I did check the scratches, and they aren't that deep. And I don't think the scratches would stop the disc from functioning completely, because I was able to play the game a few times.
