I am compiling some information about Every Saturn and I need some information that can be found on the box, mainly barcodes and serial numbers. I have some of the European boxes but unfortunately, there are stickers just on the barcodes I think this is because mine have been bought in France and they put a replacement barcode on top of the one printed on the box. Does anyone could help me by providing pictures of the barcodes + box (to know where they come from) ? and eventually sticker of the console itslef (the one on the back with serial numbers) + version of the bios ? I am also looking for information about the European Saturn pack-in game(s). Do they have specific serial numbers somewhere ? Replacement barcode ? 671-XXXX serial number on the big sticker that advertise the game(s) pack(s)-in / on the big sleeve (for command & conquer pack-in ? Thanks for any help. Edit: Here is the WIP list btw: www.satakore.com/list_of_sega_saturn_consoles.php

I too would like to have this info.
I also wonder, if anyone has the Video CD PAL Saturn. It's a stock model 1 with a video cd card sticker in one of the corners. I had a box like that as a kid, but never ever seen it online.

I never saw a european saturn box with a VCD sticker as a pack-in version. If it exists, this a late model 1 according to the date the vcd where made.

This is what we saw by e-mail, i will update this list with more info during the week. US consoles are also a big part: there are a lot of different stickers with demo/free game for different pack-in consoles.
Thanks also to mrsaturn for the 3 european packs.
According to the barcode, up to 53 different packages may have existed for the Japanese, european, Asian, Australian market. Then you add the US market which used different barcodes. And as always with Sega, multiple revisions of the same box were made: like maybe 7 or so revisions for the couple HST-0014 box (japanese model 1 yellow square box) / HST-0015 box (VF remix campain edition) [both of these editions share the same 671- serial].

I think we should record not just the saturn unit model (in this case mk-80000) but also the exact serial... it's clear that some variations in the box are related to the unit inside the box. The one in the above post is likely paired with a AE51xx or AE62xx saturn, because both were made in malaysia. Other mk-80006 boxes may have a slightly different 671 number (671-6289x) corresponding to units released in the same package but made in other countries.
EDIT: except that it doesn't seem to be the case, at least for US boxes: I've already seen "made in taiwan" and "made in malaysia" boxes, and both are 671-7824A... would be nice to see confirmation for japanese boxes though. The two hst-0019 posted by SaturnHST are both by japanese manufacturers (seiyo denshi and asahi denshi), but there were other, non-japanese makers too, so those might still have a difference.

We can add everything to the list, no problem for that. Here is the WIP list btw: www.satakore.com/list_of_sega_saturn_consoles.phpAll of the models that I know of are listed. More than excepted to be honest I will add sooner all the minicovers. In yellow BG: all the missing information that we need to find. People must check their boxes for all the versions, as they are probably alternate revisions of boxes marked with specific serials. For the MK-80008 US box, I have 2 671- serials: 671-7823A (Made in Taiwan) => mine 671-7824A (Made in Malaysia) => SaturnHST's For the demos that cam with US saturn, that is a great ida to add them to the list. Unfortunately, I have no idea myself which ones came with which packages (apart the games marked on the box by its specific sticker). We need to gather this information, and with more people contributed to the cause, more likely we will find a pattern for this. We are also missing a lot of information about Australian packages, if they are some users that live in this part of the world, please contribute Thanks again for the help given to this project

It was posted here somewhere. Is the 7823A a similar one? Good catch. Why does it have to be in fucking Australia though. I'll ask a guy I know if he can help out.

Do you think this daytona usa packin console is specific to Australia ? Also, it only came with a rf unit (no av cable)! games included are daytona usa + bootleg sampler 671-7823A only US English, no french. Does anyone know where this one came from (I have the image on my HDD for a long time, it came from Ebay): Text written in english and spanish (?) on the sticker. US ? Mexican ? Brazilian (no tec toy mentioned) ?

I found this pic of a bilingual US model 2 with a 3 Free Games sticker. Probably a Canadian release? Probably, box and sticker have french. I think this is the same I have on another picture and that I listed as "Sega Saturn (Square Box) - 3 Free Game Pack (Sticker)"
