...have I never noticed this before on the plug of the UK Mk1 Saturn: 10 years I've had that saturn and never noticed the logo on the plug! Not on the plug to my Mk2 though. Do any of the european or US consoles have the logo on the plug somewhere?

No logo on the plug. The North American systems got just a boring wire with a US-style two-prongs in the end. Cool that you guys get a logo on the plug itself.

Possibly the plug came from an older console?
According to my sources only the earlier consoles had the logo'd plug.

Think I got it Chrimble 96, so maybe a new console old plug.
Take it the only way to tell if its a Mk1 or Mk2 is by its design?

MK1's have oval buttons, same colour as the console, and a CD access light, MK2 have round grey buttons and no light with the SEGA logo near the joypad ports.
