Is very expensive, no? Certainly the JP examples I've seen on eBay go for megabucks.
How come? Is it pretty rare?

I THINK IT'S RARE... but again, I'm only basing it on the "MegaBucks" I've seen it go for in the past. I'd also like a copy of this, but whilst my PAL copy runs at full 60Hz on my Saturn, I don't have the inclination vs price, although the box art is trés cool!

Hi, I paid 15 euro last week on ebay for a mint copy of 2097. (PAL) I dont know about how rare the US or the JPN versions are though

I possess more than one PAL copy for the Saturn, one on the PS1 and one for Amiga, but I've never realised til now how much the JP version costs.

I own both the JP copy and PAL copy. PAL copy cost me something like £10 + postage and the JP copy cost me $23US + postage. And at the time, that was cheap for Wipeout XL (which is why I got it). I've played both of them and I am not sure what to make of it. They look more or less the same to me (some very very minor differences). WAS there a US edition of the game?

Nope. We only got the original Wipeout. I once saw Wipeout XL go rather cheap and passed on it as I already had PAL Wipeout 2097. I still regret it a bit.

And the only reason I have a JP copy is I got that first before the PAL copy even though I wanted the PAL copy. There were none on eBay at the time and then I got the PAL copy for really cheap.
