This is something that I've been wondering about for a while. I have the Japanese version of Saturn Bomberman, so I might be missing something, but is there any way to save your progress in the single-player mode? I got a feeling that there might not be a save feature, since there isn't a load option in the main menu (mode select menu is in english), and selecting "Normal game" just throws you straight into the start of the game, without any other options. Since I can't read the manual, can someone here please explain if I'm missing something here?

Just tried it out and was able to save after getting a Game Over. Thank you, bradcap!

I found the fact that you can't save without losing all your power-ups a bit more annoying! Thankfully Bomberman games make it very easy to die quickly.
