Hi guys, Just tried my Model 2 Saturn on my HDTV for a laugh, and two things happened... 1. Red horizontal lines across the screen.... Why? 2. I then tried a different SCART socket on the TV and this time the Saturn would not power on at all, even the power LED would not light up.... again, why? Cheers

Duno. Very strange!
Only one would normally be RGB any way, AV1 in most cases. Have a look to see if your TV has any options to allow you to change AV1 & AV2 inputs from say S-video, Composite and RGB ect... Double check they are not set for a signal going OUT. Maybe they need setting, but out of the box they should work as inputs.
If your Saturn did not start in one of them then there must be some power leak coming out of the scart socket on the TV. Fuck knows.
The Saturn never came with a fully wired scart cable either so that could be part of the problem with what's ever inside your TV? You do see sometimes on ebay people saying this lead will not work on a HDTV, or more like it could be a HDTV brand related thing they have where it does not work, when it can on others brands...?
Lets hope buckoa catches this one and has a better idea of whats going on.
