Hello and nice to meet everyone. I've been a long time fan of the Sega Saturn but just now getting into collecting for it again. (I had a huge collection a few years ago which I was forced to sell) So I figured I would become a member and meet some like-minded Saturn enthusiasts. I also collect many other retro gaming consoles and games. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the forum!
Cheers!

Hey Howard - Welcome aboard!! Sorry to hear you had to sell your previous collection, but great to hear that you're back on the case. ;D The Sega Saturn is a great system to collect for, even if you're on a limited budget - Although eventually you'll probably want some of those stupidly priced triple A titles and make the jump to import titles that were never released on these shores. I'm sure collecting for the system previously, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Also, regarding your other consoles - there's always plenty of discussion here across a myriad of platforms. So out of interest, What other systems do you own and still collect games for? --- P.S. - I had to sell on my treasured Dreamcast collection many years ago, which is something I regretted for a long time (so I know just how gutting it can feel).

I collect for the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16, Nintendo 64, Super NES, Sega Genesis, Original Xbox, PS2, and Atari Jaguar, although I have been considering selling off my Atari Jaguar collection to fund my Sega Saturn collecting.

Nice collection of systems there!! I really wouldn't sell off your Atari Jaguar though - unless it's something you either don't play on or are 100% confident that you won't regret selling it. I never had a Jaguar myself, so I'm really not in a position to comment on the quality of the games or their value. The only games I've played on the system are Cybermorph (obviously), Zool, Brutal sports Football, Alien Vs Predator, Cannon Fodder and the sublime Tempest 2000. I currently own all of the other consoles bar the Megadrive/Genesis and PC Engine and I have small collections for each. I did look into collecting for the PCE recently (or a Gamecube), before deciding to get myself a Neo Geo. Anyway, I always liked the look of the PC Engine, but I guess that's something for another year lol!! ;D Incidentally, I'm guessing that you're American (based upon the use of Genesis rather than Megadrive)? We have members from all over the world here, so you should feel right at home.

Thanks. Yes, I'm American. There are so many great games for PC Engine! Definitely give it a chance sometime!

Tempest 2k is amazing and the Doom port is incredible. There is something about having Atari's last console. There were so many things done wrong on the system, like the shoddy AV expansion, crappy toilet CD expansion, and soo many bad games... But aside from that there is some really great stuff, like Protector, AVP and Rayman. I was lucky enough to find a mate to mod it for component and it looks amazing on a CRT with component inputs. And the pro controller is really comfortable. That being said. Welcome. I love my Saturn!
