So has anyone else noticed that Sonic R's music is getting remixed quite a bit in recent Sonic titles? I knew about this remix in Generations:
But recently I got Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and was pleasntly surprised to find that not just one but two Sonic R songs were remixed in it.
In the very first track we get a hybrid of Sonic You Can Do Anything mixed with Super Sonic Racing:
And in the Sky Sanctuary Track we get a hybrid of Back in Time mixed with Sky Sanctuary's theme:
So has anyone else noticed this showing up? Considering the game tends to get ripped on quite a bit for it's music I think it's pretty awesome to see it's music keep getting remixed lately.

SASAR2: TRANSFORMED... God. I loved that game! Absolutely hammered it over Xmas time. But then it offered me 'further' difficulty on completion (I literally nailed everything head to toe - at maximum possible score) and it got busy with finally pushing my sh*t in! F-Zero style. THESE REMIXES... are great and nowhere near as offensive as the actual Sonic-R soundtrack with that horrible 90's female vocalist. I could only JUST cope with her on the Outrun2-C2C OST as it was... Tapping foot like a motherf*cker! So, guess it all ties in with the source material, huh? Maybe I find the premise of a woman singing in relation to Sonic and his little friends running about the place... embarrassing?

You'll find all the original sountrack recordings available as bonus unlockable content in the first "Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing" (Well, on the Wii version at least - can't speak for any other version).
PS. The terrible 90s vocalist is what makes the original songs so awesome lol

Was more requested by Sega fans so was not forgotten about and plus it was for us old gits anyway, kids of today would have no idea but it should also work for them as it's classic cheese of the good kind. More than that tho the fans begged for Richard Jacques to be involved from the start as he had with OutRun2/2006 and what's more Sumo are fans of the stuff we like so wasn't hard for them to agree or to sell the idea too Sega Europe. If you ever thought Sega Europe never understood our needs then take a closer look at both Sonic Racers as they are about the only games never made by Sega Japan that capture that Sega essence we used to enjoy. Saying that Sega Japan were involved with both titles tho, All the characters and rides are down to them and were hand crafted for both games! One thing about OutRun2, I never understood the love for "Life is a Bore" sound track but a lot of Japanese players loved it over the others... From my point of view "Shiny World" for the Win or classic style it has to be "Rush a Difficulty" all the way!

GOOD POST MIK...
That makes a lot of sense tbh. Sumo Digital are fantastic at creating SEGA racers imo, inc. the oft despised SEGA Rally REVO. I thought that game was really good! Just became a bit brutal later on.
Also, re: OutRun2006 etc... it's all about Risky Ride and Shiny World for me. I also like the Night Flight Instrumental too (sorry Donna).
But obviously, overall, it's a great soundtrack tbh. Shame the OutRun Online was such a vanilla release of 2006...

Yeah Sega Rally (Revo) was good, just lacked an arcade mode too keep us coming back for more. Sega Rally Online Arcade sort of made up for it but didn't last as long as I might of liked.
There was a Daytona USA racer on the cards by the same team but yeah Sega E pulled Sega Racing Studio's apart before the project was started sadly. Not sure what their talents might of done for Codemasters tho with Grid 2 as I have never placed it, lost interest in the first Grid as I enjoyed N4S Shift instead.

That mix of Back in Time with the Sky Sanctuary track is incredible. Whilst I was a little disappointed with Transformed's soundtrack that track and the Skies of Arcadia track were both excellent. Still annoyed I didn't pick this game up when iy was $20 over Christmas.
