I´ve never heard of any of those apart from In the Hunt. Any good? Hyperduel is one of the best shooters on the Saturn, the best Hori without a doubt. It's reccomended, but open your wallet..... it's £300+ these days. Battle mania daiginjou is a Megadrive classic and in my opinion one of the best games on the system. Dangun Feveron is a Cave shooter, but is less bullet-hell than their usual output... one of my faves at the moment. Was arcade only but has a port coming on PS4 Armed police Batrider is a raizing/8ing game in the mould of Garegga. I prefer it to Garegga though, and that should show how much I rate it. It should really have been ported to saturn, but wasn't. It would have been the best shooter on the system.... another arcade title.

Is that Shinrei Taromaru you're referring to?

Is that Shinrei Taromaru you're referring to? Shienryu is a vert shooter and it's a very good one. Looks ace, plays great and the music is top notch... And can I add, taromaru is not worth it, I bought it a few months back and it's a shelf trophy, which annoys me. The weapon system is pants IMO.

Agreed- an average Shinobi-esque action platformer, with some quirky scenes and moves, elevated to legendary status through a publishing quirk.

It looks pretty decent, but yeah not worth the price. Hissatsu! also looks a bit Shinobi-like, and I believe that is a bit cheaper too!

You would not believe how bad the gameplay is in taromarou, I couldn't believe it. It's basically bashing a button while your target decides what enemy you are attacking.... most of the time not to your advantage. Just not fun!!!! It should have had standard run and gun mechanics, it could have been a great game. It kinda belongs in my collection, but it was a massive letdown.

That´s disappointing. Although I think it is only a game that I would consider buying if I ever came into a load of money, so pretty unlikely!

I had a windfall so bought the big three, Tamarou, Blastwind and Hyperduel. Of those three only Hyperduel was worth the price tag. Blastwind is good but should be a £100 game. If I had to judge Tamarou on gameplay alone, £40-60.

Booted Sega Rally up last night to see if my muscle memory had retained what I learned during the community playthrough - made a mess of the hairpins but not bad after a few months

playing some of the 4MB Capcom fighters , starting with X-men vs Street Fighter, may also play a bit of Metal Slug.

I don't know what happened between yesterday when I booted up Daytona USA CE and hated it and today when I gave it another crack, but I think I like it now? I mean, I do, I spent all afternoon playing, and it was fantastic. But still, it feels weird craving CE/CCE - can 20 years of chipping away at it and all the hours I've spent trying to love it actually have paid off? I still don't think the Japanese CE is the miracle cure the internet thinks it is to the whole CCE conundrum... I put in my PAL copy of CCE again, just to see if there was that fabled handling difference there, and there wasn't, they played almost identically. I think the 3D controller in CE is a touch less sensitive than CCE, so maybe that could account for the differences, but any difference I personally observed was, in all likelihood, my shitty driving. But yeah, that original music option goes a long way. I'm thinking of picking up a Racing Wheel in the next couple of weeks for myself. I want to see what Saturn racing is all about without the touchy 3D controller steering that most racing games exhibit. Still, today is one for the history books - I now enjoy Daytona USA CE!

Finished P1 of Dark Savior this morning. Such a damn good game, despite the countless (and often major) bugs I encountered.
Great story, and fun gameplay coupled with a length that is just right. The game lasts long enough not to outstay its welcome, but has the different parallels to offer extra length for those that want to play more, or for repeated playthoughs.
It has earned its way onto my top 10 Saturn games, and may go even higher after I tackle the other parallels.
But now I need to go back to Lemmings 3D. I still have so many levels left to do....

Been catching up on Tomb Raider and trying my best to complete it. I have to say ever since I traded in PAL version and got the JPN version I have been enjoying the game alot more. The extra save points and smoother frame rate make such a difference. So been occupied with that and some Willy Wombat.
