"With enough content to keep any Saturn fan happy, L&F2 is sure to become a welcomed addition to any collection and will be limited to exactly 50 copies.... PERIOD. Just as before... you will need a modified console in order to enjoy these great titles. We are still working on making aftermarket disks bootable on a consumer system but then again... Vol 3. that was from oldergames own site. You do need a modded console to play their games at present. Volume 3 may well be released under the official sega brand after brokering a deal with sammy, segas current major shareholders although this is as yet unconfirmed. Possibly meaning a cross format release? This could open up the door for more official saturn games such as the dreamcast has enjoyed in recent years.....that would be cool..... Although, you would obviously be in copyright violation if you tried to distribute bonafide sega discs without sega's permission and this permission has been sought, to my knowledge quite a few times in the last 10 years, deep fear was the last sanctioned release in 1998, in my mind quality would be an issue....... sega sanctioned releases for the dreamcast though.......again,not sure how that worked........ I googled..... KallistiOS is a homebrew minimal operating system that offers support for a majority of the Dreamcast's hardware and peripherals. Its license allows hobbyist programmers to release games created with this SDK to be released commercially. (wikipedia) I am a cynic but if the games sell for £15 and they go up in value to £100's it's engineering the games rarity..that stinks out.....BIGTIME....if they were for gaming and gamers and not blagging profits they would make the code available for download to all true gamers for a fee or make a full scale release imho.........it's a bit unfair. I would not pay for it on this basis alone....... I think every gamer would agree that a non affiliated company should not be able to make money out of sega, the sega name and sega fans, for something they do not own the rights to......this is common sense! I think we deserve a few official releases via sammy for those willing to develop for the saturn....... looking forward to d/l ing this in a few weeks, if I can find it...........

deep fear was the last sanctioned release in 1998 That's not entirely true, although Deep Fear was the last game in PAL territories for the Saturn (on 05/09/1998 to be precise). If memory serves me correctly the final official Saturn release anywhere is Final Fight Revenge, which reached Japanese stores almost two years later. Will anybody confirm that Magic Knight Rayearth became its US counterpart, as I'm a little unsure about that one?

Magic Knight Rayearth was certainly the last US release. I can't remember off hand when it came out and of course my personal data is far away from me right now.
Final Fight Revenge was the last new Japanese Saturn game. But I'm postive that a special pack of dating sims/adventure games came out even later. It was a special bundle of 3 games (all in the same series) that had been released seperately beforehand. I can't remember the title, but I'm postive it was after Revenge. I know they came in a giant box but I can't think of the damn 100% Japanese title....

You're right superdeadite. Last release in Japan is Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku Hozonban Perpetual Collection, pack of the 5 previously released Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku games. The limited pack is really well done: www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-game,,T-27811G,,Yuukyuu-Gensoukyoku-Hozonban-Perpetual-Collection-JPN.html It came on december, the 7th in 2000 (final fight revenge on march, the 30th).

Ah nice to know I'm not crazy. Yeah it is a nice looking package, its always interesting how games of this type get such nice extras. While games like shooters occasionaly come with a soundtrack or extra disc but its rare.
