Weird... All I can say is the problem doesn't show up in this video, but it doesn't seem like something that would happen because of a bad disc, does it?

A small chance of hope but maybe it's linked to how your using your Saturn Micha. Some games may have the odd bug show up if they are auto booted, (disc in the machine with lid closed) from powering on cold. Even the front end system of the Saturn can mess up if you use the eject button to stop a game to get back to the front end. I do not have Theme Park and have never played it on Saturn, was an Amiga game so would not buy it again. Try what I say below, if it helps or you already do then cool. If not then at least you have tried to see if it is indeed linked to that. Sorry if this works out to be a complete waste of your time... How to load software on a Sega Saturn. 1. Power up your Saturn with no disc in the drive. 2. Put disc in, close CD lid, allow Saturn to find disc, Start Application, enjoy. If however you have left a disc in the machine over night then open the CD lid and leave it open before you power up. Once the Saturn is on the front end, only then close the lid. To end a game and return to the front end to load another without powering off. 1. Where possible always go back to the main menu of any game is your best bet of a point to finish playing. 2. Wait for the machine to stop loading any data to be safe, playing CD music is ok. 3. ** PRESS THE RESET BUTTON **, When you see the spinning Saturn logo on screen you can now press EJECT. and that's it. If you just press eject to stop a game by it's self when a game is running you may find some games will hang and not return to the front end and even if you press reset after this you may even find the front end is messing about such as not sensing if the CD lid is open or closed. Your asking for trouble as it were. The Saturn is not a PSone and must be handled properly like a woman, very fragile and sensitive lol. PS. you can press and hold A,B,C & Start from the main menu of all games to return back to the front end of the Saturn. Personally I don't use this much unless I'm about to switch it off...

Well at least your booting the games from the front end so it's not linked to that.
Do what I say when you want to swap games and do not wish to power off. What your doing as a final power off to stop playing altogether is fine.
Holding A,B,C & Start while in the middle of a game can make some games go back to the main menu, very handy sometimes if a game allows this and you want to change some options.

I tried playing this on the Sega CD, but imo the controls were terrible. Used to play this one the PC somewhere in the 90's I believe. All the puking was a great bonus, as it made family members go ballistic. I prefer still prefer playing this with a mouse to this day. Since I haven't got the saturn Theme Park I can't comment on the problem. Actually, not sure why I am writing this in the first place, perhaps I should get back to work.... ...nah....

I used to have this on the Jaguar too Micha. Was quite a big deal back in the day. It released on practically EVERYTHING it could. No doubt, the Jag version was just a port of a lesser version though (i.e. SNES, MD etc) However, the much maligned keypad was pretty useful in this game once you'd learned what's what (i.e like remembering which number corresponds to which weapon whilst playing FPS's, etc). Aaanyway...

Yeah you start remembering them in ya head after a while. Still a bastard reaching over for the headlights on Power Drive and even tho the cars do have a horn on Jag I don't ever use it as it's too much of a reach when the AI has cut me up lol. Nice idea tho the Jag key pad faces even if the buttons were a bit of a reach when you wanted something quick without looking.

I had this on the Jaguar too, years ago. But doesn't the Jag version of Theme Park have a savegame issue?? I vaguely remember something weird... Awww yeah baby! You can't save dem parks baby! But you can sell them before you power off at the end of a 'year' and keep the money! How good's that? Genius

Hopefully you have another Saturn coming your way as for the calls to answer some PM's? It's always best to have two machines for times like this if your unsure if something is not right. If two Saturn's do it and other people have not seen the bug then the disc is at fault for sure I would of said.

Excellent post card, I mean the view. Snow... wow! Something we see very little of on the South coast of the UK because of the warm air coming from America mostly. We did get a bit of snow last year around this time I recall, still rare in these parts...
