I noticed that you're running your AES/Last Blade in MVS mode. I rarely do that myself. SNK & SEGA eh? I'm sure we'll have much to talk about Welcome to SS:UK...

... interesting set-up (re: storage containers!). ..thanks guys, and yes, the storage box solution will be fixed asap ..i just started with some CAPCOM essentials like SFZ, SF Collection, Vampire Savior / Hunter, X-Men vs SF, but also Layer Section, Gunbird and Twinkle Star Sprites. Also Metal Slug 1 is on the way. As you see, i won't buy this shitty NGCD and get some ports on my SATURN. ..for the NGH, yes it's an UNIBIOS 3.1, RGB-Fix and Stereo-Mod system, so i prefer the MVS mode. I sold a couple of classic games in the last weeks, like KOF94, SS2, FFS and AOF's to concentrate on the "higher level" games like MOTW.. ..while searching for some JP games for the SATURN i note that there are quite pricey, like SFZ3 or Batsugun..but always found some nice deals from UK shops. Still pricey but the condition is always as described!

As you see, i won't buy this shitty NGCD and get some ports on my SATURN. Well, sounds like you've made a solid start on your Saturn games collection KSASS. Marvel vs Street Fighter is probably my fave fighter for the system overall. You need that next for the NGH, yes it's an UNIBIOS 3.1, RGB-Fix and Stereo-Mod system, so i prefer the MVS mode. I sold a couple of classic games in the last weeks, like KOF94, SS2, FFS and AOF's to concentrate on the "higher level" games like MOTW.. But, as a Home Cart system, why do you prefer the MVS mode? Does it feel more authentic to you? If so, I would have thought you might have preferred a consolized MVS... as that's the (literal) best of both worlds, eh? Shame you sold your classic games on KSASS. Those are some solid titles you've parted out with imo. Suppose you can always reacquire them down the road, though, I always think you get more bang for your buck from the cheaper titles myself. Also, do you own a "shitty" NGCD, KSASS? Most PPL I know who own them (many on NG.com, for example) would probably disagree with the NGDC being "shitty". Do you know how the Saturn port of MS1 stacks up against the NGCD version btw? I don't have the CD version to compare them unfortunately while searching for some JP games for the SATURN i note that there are quite pricey, like SFZ3 or Batsugun..but always found some nice deals from UK shops. Still pricey but the condition is always as described! Was that via eBay KSASS, or just bought via retro game shops online?

Still pricey but the condition is always as described! Was that via eBay KSASS, or just bought via retro game shops online? A consolized MVS Board was not an option for me, i prefer the NGH/AES cause i get what i want in an perfect package for my HOME use, an out of the box playable system without using a supergun/mak, external powersupply etc. and for sure the design. I won't an hardware, that is/was developed for using hidden in an arcade cabinet. Indeed, there are some nice modded consolized MVS boards, but that's not the way i'm down with.. Yeah, the classic games..my viewpoint, these games are great games, but not that great as what i expected it from them. A great game for me combines gameplay, graphics/sound and replay value, a perfect bundle of presentation and motivation. I realised that all these things came only with my so called "higher level" games, besides the price tag. So e.g. LB fulfilled my expectations, and SS2 didn't! But i'm sure a Breakers Revenge from 98 won't this either.. I thought twice before typing "shitty"..but that's what i feel about this experiment. First of all NG for me is an CARTRIDGE system, created and marketed as an arcade system, with an high price for sophisticated customers. So what's the deal, everybody knows! If you want a arcade experience at home you have to deal with the price. SNKs strategy behind an more favorable CD-medium based system was an cool idea for the early games, but after the newer original cartridge games pushing the limits on megabit content, the whole system suffers on his lack of power. That's not the way it should be, and the CDZ didn't solve the problem at all! eBay purchases were flawless, just waiting for my order via vgi.com ..and for MS1 comparison ng.com thread

Maybe one day. But, like you, I like the Home Cart system best. Shame the classics didn't meet your expectations. I can see the appeal of the later 'higher-end' titles though. Pretty costly though, unfortunately. For the record, I own Breakers on Home Cart and it's, quite arguably, one of the best fighters on the NeoGeo. Might be worth checking out a cheap conversion of Revenge (not that I advocate conversions!) before deciding to drop the big cash on a legitimate Breakers Home cart, just to be sure. Fair enough points re: CD vs Cart system. I prefer the cart system myself, but find the CD unit an interesting diversion. It's also a much more economical way to enjoy the earlier, less load heavy titles for the NeoGeo. If you like fighters dating 96 and beyond though, it's a bit of a no go. Also, VGI come highly recommended. I've bought plenty of stuff from them before (Home Carts and Imports for other systems/consoles) and they have been nothing less than excellent throughout!

Yeah, I wouldn't be happy with a 'run of the mill', homemade Consolised MVS, I just gave my MV1B a hug you insensitive s-o-b's! Then I thought of my wallet. I almost forgot, welcome to the forums kicksomeass! Very nice setup!

Yeah, I wouldn't be happy with a 'run of the mill', homemade Consolised MVS, I just gave my MV1B a hug you insensitive s-o-b's! Then I thought of my wallet. Hahaha! Sorry dude. I really don't like those metal formed CMVS's you see kicking around the place, with garish sticker additions... some with multiple slots (for obvious reasons) and those stark, rectangular cut-outs for the cart, where you can still see all inside the machine. As it happens, I don't mind the raw approach of the MV1B. I've seen some decent efforts that embrace the physical/aesthetic attributes of how it looks and works. But, on the whole, unless it's an actual Analogue CMVS or an Omega CMVS, very few impress me (although "Distropia" made some nice ones in the background, and I haven't seen the ones XX makes, that everyone holds in high regard).
