NOTE: AS OF 16TH DECEMBER 2023 DUE TO AN INCREASED NUMBER OF SPAM POSTS NEW MEMBERS WILL NOW BE RESTRICTED TO POSTING AND REPLYING WITHIN THE 'NEWBIES HERE' AREA, UNTIL THEY HAVE A POST COUNT OF 3 OR OVER.
OTHER AREAS OF THE FORUM REMAIN AVAILABLE TO READ ONLY, WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
We do not wish to impose allot of annoying rules on this forum, but there has to be a few I'm afraid.
The 7 main rules below must be adhered to at all times as well as the ProBoard prohibited content rules in the post following this one:
1. Exercise common sense and be considerate toward your fellow users. Diversity of opinion and intelligent civil discourse is encouraged.
2. Try not post totally off-topic. Please keep your comments roughly consistent with the subject and purpose of the conversation.
Please use the Search function for existing topics before posting a new topic on any given subject.
3. Language, there will be almost no language moderation on this forum, however bad language used in an insulting manner will not be tolerated.
In the same vein “flaming” will also not be tolerated.
Disagreeing with ideas or views of another community member is different from verbally attacking them.
THIS IS AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE FORUM
Please respect other users by restricting your posts to English.
The term 'JAP' when referring to Japanese is offensive to our Japanese members, please abbreviate Japanese to JP or JPN.
4. Please to not post large news articles etc. always link externally.
This keeps things nice and tidy and prevents any unintentional copyright infringement.
5. You alone are responsible for the material you post.
You will not knowingly post content or links to content that violates or encourages violation of the copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property right of any third party and that you will remove the same should you discover that you have violated this provision.
Likewise, you may not post content or links to content that is libelous, defamatory, offensive, obscene, racist, abusive, that violates a third party's right to privacy, that otherwise violates any applicable local, state, national or international law, or that is otherwise inappropriate.
You will indemnify segasaturn.co.uk and its creators from any and all claims and/or damages (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from any claim brought by any third party relating to content you have posted.
Further Note: Political and religious discussion/debate belong elsewhere, this is a retro-gaming forum.
Outright racism, homophobia and general bigotry will never be tollerated, those exhibiting such behaviour may be banned from the forums, possibly permanently.
6. You acknowledge and agree that you use and/or rely on any information obtained through these forums at your own risk.
Each user specifically acknowledges that we are not liable for the defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of third parties, subscribers, members or other users of the forums and that the risk of injury from the foregoing rests entirely with each user.
7. You understand and agree that these discussion forums are to be used only for non-commercial purposes. You may not solicit funds, promote commercial entities that are unrelated to this forum's subject matter, or otherwise engage in unrelated commercial activity in the chats or forums.
Private sales and links to eBay auctions are permitted.
NOTE: MEMBERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ACCESS OUR MARKETPLACE SECTION FOR BUYING AND SELLING UNTIL A POST COUNT OF AT LEAST 30 HAS BEEN REACHED.
Spamming or junk posting to reach this requirement will result in a ban.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove a user's privilege to post content in our discussion forums
Suspended members who re-register with new accounts will have those accounts deactivated without notice and their IP addresses blocked.
Repeated attempts will result in our contacting your ISP with an abuse report which can (and has) lead to your ISP removing your internet access.
Please make no attempt to call my bluff on these rules, while I am generally a very amicable chap, watch that in your stumbling around you do not wake the dragon.
Many thanks, please enjoy our forums,
Mick & the Segasaturn.co.uk Team.
