I've been developing an idle curiosity about mech games. See, I've never played one, and it's not because I have anything at all against them. It's just never come up. Can anyone suggest a good Saturn mech game for me to try out? Bear in mind I'm not necessarily looking for the Saturn's best mech game, just the one that will serve as the best introduction to the genre.

Gun Griffon.
Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries for PC destroys the Saturn's "dumbed down" version of MW2.

Gungriffon +2. The Mobile Suit Gundam Sidestory games are very good too.

Gungriffon +4
How does Gungriffon 2 stack up to the original?
Gundam Side Story is also fantastic
If you collect for the Sega/Mega CD, I also suggest Battlecorps

Many thanks for the advice, guys! I remember hearing the name Gungriffon coming up before, but I had no idea it was a good one for beginners. Taking a quick look at the Ebay completed listings now, I had no idea it went for such reasonable prices, either. Will be keeping an eye out for a good copy.
