Hey everyone,
When I bought my Saturn last week, the guy threw in one of these carts after I expressed an interest in playing Japanese games. Eventually I'll buy an action replay, but is this worth using for my non RAM requirements in the meantime? Or should I just chuck it in my miscellaneous hardware junk drawer and laugh ruefully when I find it in years to come?
Thanks in advance guys!

Can we have a picture? There are so many of these things it sometimes helps to see which particular one you have.

It allows you to play import games on your Saturn. Plug it into the Saturn and find nothing works because the Saturn cartridge slot is awful. I had to make sure the cartridge is slightly tilted forward at all times to get a connection on my Saturn. I had more succes with the action replay cartridge.

I've found the trick is to put it in, but not push it all the way down. Once you get it working once don't move it, touch it, blow on it or even look on it and it'll be alright.

What the fuck? Why does it look like a JP Mega Drive cart? Does that even fit in you Saturn?

A quick follow on from this folks, I picked up JP Fighters Megamix and Last Bronx cheap to see if it works and as far as I can tell it all seems fine! Both games load without problems and I've not experienced any issues yet. I'll try more cheap imports as and when I buy them (kinda skint after Xmas) but I'll keep this thread updated as to whatever I pick up or if I hit any snags.

BEWARE! This cart has a thicker PCB than the official carts and continued use will damage your cart slot. I've stated in other threads to avoid this one like the plague.

This cart has a thicker PCB than the official carts and continued use will damage your cart slot. Has anyone actually ever seen a cartridge with a thicker-than-regulation PCB? All cartridges I've ever seen, both licensed and unlicensed, have used the same de-facto standard 1.6 mm thick PCB. Since it's standard, it's cheap, so it wouldn't even make sense for a clone cart manufacturer to use anything else. I'm fairly sure it is just an urban legend, and the simple truth is that the Saturn's cartridge connector is just poorly designed.

But it's pretty simple to clear up this urban legend, someone just has to take some pictures of that cart, next to some official ones.

Okay, I bought that card you linked to, I'm going to measure it once it gets here.
