I bought my third Saturn game! Great condition, manual, all for nine quid. Maybe I could've got it cheaper, but I wanted to support a local indie retro place I just discovered.
It's a fine addition! The conversions seem highly competent, the games control well and hold up to some extent and Im pleased with my purchase.
I'm not sure where to turn next! I got a decent Xmas bonus and don't know whether to just pick up some worthwhile PAL games or whether to stump up for an AR and start getting some decent imports. I'm sure I'll work it out!

If you have a PAL machine and are thinking of getting an AR cart then I'd advise either getting a JPN console or getting your existing console modified. The money would be better spent doing that.
btw Agree re Sega Ages Vol. 1 - excellent title.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated. Is it easy to get modded? Anywhere on here where I can find out more?

Rob Webb is great for action replay and other peripherals. For getting your console modded i would recommend www.videogameperfection.com/. He does a great job and is a regular poster on here. The modding service is closed at the moment for Xmas however.

sorry - thought Robb did mods because he sells modded consoles (got my modded Megadrive off him) - but maybe he doesn't offer a mod service.

No problem! I think I'll stick to pal for now anyway, but it seems someone has just offered me a chipped PS2 gratis, so finally I can pick up some imports for that and fill in some blanks!
Merry Xmas folks!

Yup. Console Passion or Video Game Perfection. Can't go wrong wither way. Video Game Perfection posts here on the forums though, so maybe worth dropping 'Buckoa51' a message...

I stayed with PAL and an AR for several years but you get bordered and slower games. Most work fine - but beware of MSH v SF as it glitches at 50Hz.
Have a PAL and JPN machine now.

My PAL machine has a 50/60hz which I can change just by holding the reset button for a few seconds so I get all the benefits of a full speed, no boarders NTSC machine. Definitley cheaper than buying another Jap machine. Didn't know of Video Game Perfection, might have to take a look round at what games they sell.
