So I should have a Rhea (SD card loader for the Saturn) in my geek-cave for testing and review in the next week or two. What are some games I can test with the thing? I was thinking FMV heavy adventures, games that use CD soundtracks with precise timing, etc. Any thoughts?

I believe Strahl is an FMV game for the Saturn eh?
Also, didn't know any SD card readers were out yet! If it's any good I think I'll grab one too.

Just out of interest, I would be keen to know how the Rhea handles the location changing in Resident Evil. Seems I spent most of that game looking at slowly and jerkily opening doors.

Ok sure I'll see if I can find those and test them.

IIRC Nights uses XA tracks instead of the usual data+audio.

Good luck trying to find any broken titles, so far there are only 3 known. IIRC Nights uses XA tracks instead of the usual data+audio. Games using mode 2 tracks work fine on Rhea, including Nights, as well as the Mogitate Sega Saturn discs, including MPEG card support (they use double MPEG streams).

Command & Conquer has a long old FMV intro with the odd face in there so you can watch for voice sync. Shinobi X, WarCraft II, BUG! and Z have some... and as already said Res Evil.
others with FMV but with Music sounds tracks you could go for F1 Challenge, Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Worldwide Soccer, WipeOut and Need 4 Speed.
Myst might also be worth a shot as it sort of streams while you play. Might be a good one for load time comparison vs disc.

Cool, I might ask you to send a verified working image of something (homebrew or anything) we can't get ours to boot anything at the moment. I'll PM you if we don't work it out.

The Trurip dumps work most of the time, except for some that have parsing errors in the subcode (which may or may not get fixed with a firmware update).
For homebrew, just mount them to a virtual drive and rip a CDI from the virtual drive with Discjuggler using the appropriate options.
