Just a quick Hi!
I've just been baited into buying a Sega Saturn after browsing feebay for a few hours and now I have about 1001 questions rattling around in my head (which will be posted in the appropriate section so I figured I should at least introduce myself first.
I'm not new to the Saturn but it would be around 17 years since I last played one! Sadly I sold off a few gems when I parted with my old Saturn including Dragon Force, Burning Rangers and Shining Force *cry*. So now i'm 17 years wiser and have decided to start collecting up some Sega goodness again, in particular Japanese titles as they just look so much more appealing than the PAL cases/artwork. I'm thinking Akumajō Dracula X and maybe D&D Collection to start but we'll see how it goes.
Anyhoo, i'll leave it at that. You will most likely find me lurking around the forums posting questions or chipping in where I can. See ya!

Welcome to the forums! And yeah, it seems like you sold some gems alright, and costly gems at that. Let's hope you can get them back at a decent price. Dracula X seems pretty sweet, I tested it briefly a few weeks ago and haven't gotten around to start playing it for real yet. D&D also seems awesome. Expensive games though :/
Anyway, see ya around, and welcome once again!

Welcome!
It's a common story, if we all were wise when we were younger, sigh.
Would gladly like to hear how you fair with Dracula X, I'd like to get that game.

Welcome! I feel your pain too - I got sold about 20-odd games when I was still a youngster that I totally wish I had kept, haha. Especially because they are getting reeeally pricey to replace! Anyways, welcome again, hope to see your collection when/if you get around to posting pics

Hi Caseh.
Welcome to SS:UK. Luckily, I was one of the few who liked my retro stuff far too much to part with it, but only from the SAT/PS1 era onwards. Everything before, I had always had to trade-in against what I wanted. A story we're all familiar with.
My biggest regret (although, since resolved!) was selling an Atari Jaguar with 6 games back when PS1 arrived. Sold it complete and boxed (w/boxed games, inc. T2K, AVP etc) for £35 to fund ONE game for my new PS1. By EB's pricing back then, I was STILL £5 short of buying the game I had sold the Jaguar to buy; £39.99 for a 2nd hand copy of Ridge Racer Revolution. One of the best racing games ever made.
Yeah. We've all done it at some time or another, but luckily, when the following gen released (Dreamcast onwards) I was old enough to have a FT job and wages. That brought an end to my need to trade up to buy new consoles and games. Forever. Therefore, my PS1, SAT & N64 collections are the very ones I have always owned...

I've owned all the consoles at some point but sold everything a few years back as emulation seemed to be covering everything. Sadly its no alternative to owning physical copies.
Think my biggest mistake was swapping a PC engine with CD add-on and about 25 games for a copy of Jumping Flash and Battle Arena Toshinden on PS1 haha. Back then though no one really knew what a PC engine was so they had no real value. It was all about owning the latest kit.
I think retro stuff has entered a golden era, the latest consoles are a bit stale and I'd rather own the original games over constant remasters or broken games.
