Hi there. I've been interested in the Sega Saturn recently and upon a quick Google search, I came across you guys so thought I'll sign up! Been a lifelong gamer since the late 80's when I was a kid, my first console was the Master System II and loved games so much I worked in the Videogame industry for nearly 10 years as a Tools Tester and Designer. Decided to get out only a few years ago as work was drying up in the UK and I'm enjoying playing games on the outside rather than making them on the inside! Glad to have found this place and look forward to chatting to everyone. Thanks for having me.

Welcome! Is that an F430 or 360 in your avatar? I got to drive the F430 around the international circuit at Silverstone last year, good fun.

Welcome Wools, Glad you found the forum! Many people only wish to have a job in the industry, so you've lived "the dream". Was moving for your career ever an option? Glad to hear more about it. Thanks! I considered moving aboard to Sweeden for a job back in 2008 but decided against it, which was a good thing as the company went bust a few years ago. Now I’m engaged to be married and brought a house last year so not planning on going nowhere in the near future! Welcome! Is that an F430 or 360 in your avatar? I got to drive the F430 around the international circuit at Silverstone last year, good fun. The picture is me driving a 360 Challenge Stradale, I was lucky enough to drive one last year as a 29th Birthday gift from my Fiancé. Had a choice of several cars and decided on the 360 CS and a McLaren MP4-12C. Wonderful cars! Welcome! Is that an F430 or 360 in your avatar? Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I’m currently rocking a Playstation 4 and a modded 5000 era PlayStation. After some discussion on another board, I’m considering buying a Japanese Saturn along with some classic games. I was always a PlayStation guy in my teens so the Saturn was never really on my radar but I did want one. When the Saturn & PlayStation got to under £200, my parents said I could have either console so after a month of deciding looking through the Argos catalogue, I went for a PlayStation. I did pick a Saturn up 10 years or so ago but it would not load games after 30 minutes so I had to switch it off and then wait for it to cool down! I’m thinking Japan is the way to go as it’s full screen and speed, I also prefer the Japanese artwork and although I can’t speak Japanese, most of the games I want are Arcade games so language is not a defining factor! I’m now just trying to decide which Japanese console I want (Grey, White and Mark I or Mark II, I think!) and whether to splash out on a Cool Pad Sega Saturn which is made in China not Japan. I don’t know which pad is best and have conflicting reports about that specific pad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in exactly the same boat, love the JPN cases and artwork and all the games I want (for the most part) are not dependant on language.
I bought a PAL Saturn which I intend to mod, then bought a mint boxed white Saturn from Japan (however I overlooked the 2-3 MONTHS shipping time!) and I may buy a grey JPN one for general use/experimenting.
